Giving Honor Where It Is Due

Giving Honor Where It Is Due

We are who we are because someone else has built into our lives. Jesus, certainly, but most likely there are others who have come alongside us and believed in us through the years. Not one of us is able to claim that we are self-made people. Parents, teachers, family members, friends, and associates have taught us through their words and examples, have supported and challenged us. Who do you need to thank for their influence in your life? How can you honor them by the way you live and lead?

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.—2 Timothy 2:1-2

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the men and women who poured their wisdom and experience into me. May my life and leadership reflect their trust as I faithfully pass on their legacy. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
