How do you know when God is speaking to you? Could there be a more practical question for those who want to lead like Jesus? Jesus said we could know His voice. How do you recognize His voice from all the other voices surrounding you?
“The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.”—John 10:2-4
Prayer: God, thank You for the great privilege of hearing Your voice. Thank You for speaking to listening hearts. Give me a listening heart that knows Your voice. Guard my time of solitude and prayer. Teach me to listen so that I follow You closely. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
