In the midst of conflict, how committed are we in working to find a solution that benefits everyone involved? Consider God’s example. His solution to the sin that separates us from relationship with Him upheld His righteousness and justice while fully expressing His love, mercy, and grace. Whenever we are dealing from positions of real or perceived power, any time we are tempted to use our power or position to impose our will on others, remember the cross. May love and humility lead us forward.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.—2 Corinthians 5:21
Prayer: God, You made a way for us to be reconciled to You, bearing the cost Yourself, and extending grace to us. We are forever changed. Let us seek the well-being of others, at home, at work, and in the family of God. We pray in the name of Jesus, who gave Himself for us, amen.
