When times are tough, leaders can be tempted to turn from Jesus’ example of servant leadership. Yet Jesus did not call us to be servant leaders only when it feels good. He Himself washed the feet of His disciples, including Judas, on the night when He was betrayed. Where do you, like Jesus, need to draw strength from Your relationship with the Father, strength to continue serving to the end?
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.—Psalm 23:1-3
Prayer: Lord, I look to You today for spiritual strength so that I can be faithful in what You’ve called me to do. I know my leadership needs to be more than words. Give me Jesus’ courage and commitment to follow You faithfully to the end. Refresh and guide me, I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
