Daniel and his friends found themselves about to suffer the consequences for other people’s failure. Instead of lashing out, blaming others, or complaining about the injustice, Daniel sought to understand what was going on and asked to be allowed to do something about it. In doing so, he saved his own life and that of others. How do you respond to injustice? What does this response reveal about you as a leader?
I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.—Daniel 2:23
Prayer: Lord, I praise You for meeting Daniel and his friends in their hour of need. Thank You for giving us opportunities to show faith and courage under pressure, and for pouring out Your wisdom when we call to You. May You be glorified in my life, as You were in Daniel’s life.
