Jesus modeled servant leadership for His disciples. He was very clear about his leadership point-of-view: This is how you are to lead, and how you are not to lead. This is why your way will not work. This is my way. Follow my example. He modeled love and respect for people, especially the hurting and outcast. He was committed to His relationship with God, training His followers, and serving sacrificially. How will you follow in His footsteps today?
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.—1 John 4:16-17
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for leaving me a practical role model to model my life and leadership after. I want to be like You. Open my eyes to how I can follow You more closely today. I ask in Your name, Amen.
