Disciples are people who follow Jesus, adopting His lifestyle, living with Him day-by-day. Discipleship is an everyday lifestyle, not an occasional drop-in visit. Disciples learn to keep pace with Jesus, walking and talking with Him as they go through their days. They stay in step with Him, adjusting their pace to His, and changing direction as He directs. Where is He taking you today?
As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.—Mark 2:14
Prayer: Jesus, You have called me to follow You. As we walk through this day together, I want to see my life and relationships through Your eyes. I want to follow You, to stop when You stop and move when You move. I want my life to be marked, transformed, by my relationship with You. I ask this as Your disciple and in Your name, Amen.
