What role does sacrifice have in the life of a servant leader? Sacrifice involves doing what is right and best, what honors God, regardless of the cost. Sacrifice says that God and others are more important than me. Sacrifice has a cost, but the goal and benefits are worth it. Jesus sacrificed Himself for the whole world. Who is He calling you to sacrifice yourself for? What sacrifice is He calling you to make?
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.—Romans 12:1
Prayer: Jesus, You didn’t consider Yourself above sacrifice, You gave Your all out of love and for Your Father. You worshiped Him through Your life. You brought us life through Your sacrifice. May I live as a sacrifice today, worshiping God and serving others. I pray in Your name, Amen.
