Being a servant leader isn’t for the fainthearted. Both Moses and the Lord repeatedly called Joshua to be strong and courageous. They warned him not to give into fear or discouragement, but to trust the Lord’s presence with him, and they reminded him that the Lord would never forsake him. Where do you need to replace fear and discouragement with strength and courage?
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”—Joshua 1:9
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the assurance of Your presence with me as I serve You and lead Your people. Help me to recognize fear and discouragement as signals to turn to You, drawing strength and courage from Your presence. Thank You for believing in me and strengthening me to lead like Jesus. I pray in His name, Amen.
