What kind of plans do you make? Scripture is clear (and our experience confirms) that some people make devious plans, while others make noble plans. More importantly, Scripture points to a God who sovereignly overwrites all human plans for His own purposes. When God steps in and changes our plans, how do we react? Whether we as leaders are dealing with rapid unexpected change, or seemingly unending delays, what does it look like to trust that God is in control?

Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just. But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand.—Isaiah 32:7-8

Prayer: Sovereign Lord, our days, our lives, our plans, all are in Your hands. Lead us, we pray, to make noble plans that exalt You and bless others. Above all, help us to trust Your plan to be better than any we can devise. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
