How much is enough when it comes to our relationship with God? How much do we want to know Him, to be transformed by Him? God offers Himself fully and freely to us through the Son and the Spirit. But what about us? Are we satisfied with knowing Him from afar, instead of experiencing relationship with the living God?
When the people heard the thunder and the loud blast of the ram’s horn, and when they saw the flashes of lightning and the smoke billowing from the mountain, they stood at a distance, trembling with fear. And they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen. But don’t let God speak directly to us, or we will die!”—Exodus 20:18, 19
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for opening the way for us into face-to-face relationship with the Father. Let us hunger and thirst to know God. As we pray in Your name, speak to us so that we can live and lead like You, amen.
