Jesus’ life reveals the very heart and mind of God. The startling revelation is that at His very core, God is a servant. Do you share God’s desire to serve? How is Jesus’ presence transforming your life?
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!—Philippians 2:5-8
Prayer: Jesus, as I reflect on this passage, I am humbled. I realize how much You want to transform my leadership motivations and intentions, my perspective, my attitudes and behavior. I realize how far I have to go to become like You. Thank You for Your unending patience with me. Make me like You, I pray in Your name, Amen.
