‘Some people just can’t be pleased.’ When did you last experience trying to serve someone but it seemed you were continually misunderstood? Jesus experienced this throughout His public ministry, misunderstood by those whose leadership philosophy was directly opposed to him. The criticism of others can discourage us, but we do well to remember Jesus’ example of persevering in God’s will and God’s way. Follow Him today, regardless of the opposition you experience.

Prayer: God, thank You for Jesus’ example and perseverance in the face of opposition. I too once misunderstood Your leadership perspective, but Jesus is transforming me. Thank You for those who showed me a better way. Let me show others a better way today. In Your name I pray, amen.
