How is your leadership different because you follow Jesus’ servant model? Have you replaced pride with humility, and confidence for fear? Are people aware that you value them? How are you influencing the thinking, behavior and development of others? What habits are you cultivating in order to keep your focus on Christ? Jesus doesn’t want you to admire His teaching and model of servanthood; He wants you to become a servant. How are you doing?
That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.—Ephesians 4:20-21
Prayer: Jesus, it’s easy to admire Your example and Your teaching about servanthood. It is harder to actually move Your teaching from my heart to my head, hands and habits. But I know You didn’t come to amaze me, You came to transform my thinking and life. May my life reflect You; change me from the inside out, I ask in Your name, Amen.
