Do you ever feel discouraged, like the opposition just won’t quit? Scripture is full of stories of people struggling against ongoing opposition, frustration, and seemingly overwhelming odds. God wants to use opposition and the struggle to overcome it to drive us to call out to Him and depend on Him rather than on ourselves. Where are you facing ongoing opposition? Are you trying to handle it in your own strength or are you calling out to God?
Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building. They bribed officials to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.—Ezra 4:4-5
 Prayer: Lord, You know the opposition and discouragement that I face. You are my hope and strength. Re-energize me as I turn to You. Accomplish Your purpose, I pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.
