The gospel writers record the lives of men and women and children who recognized and seized the opportunity to interact with Jesus: a father who begged for his daughter’s life, a woman who risked what little was left of her reputation to reach out for healing, disciples who responded to His call, children who were irresistibly drawn to Jesus. Others missed out, walking on by, turning away from the opportunity to know Him. What opportunities will you seize today?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, this day is a day filled with opportunities to see You at work, to be amazed, to connect with You, to reach out for You, and to respond to Your call. Don’t let me miss out. I don’t want to be left behind. I want to live this day with You and for You. I pray in Your name, Amen.
