Do you ever find yourself repeating the same things over and over? Perhaps you are correcting behavior, reiterating values and guidelines, or explaining the same thing yet again. What we repeatedly talk about provides a glimpse into our values and priorities, how we want to structure the people and world around us, and the longings of our heart. As you move through today, pay attention to the things you are saying. What are you emphasizing to those around you?

Prayer: God, just like John repeatedly emphasized the message You gave him, keep me focused on reinforcing the vision and values that You have impressed on me. I want to help others align with what You are doing in the world and how You want us to interact with one another. In Jesus’ name, amen.
