Each of us has something to offer others. Your offering is most likely not the same as that of the person next to you. That doesn’t make what you bring less valuable, it makes it more valuable. Knowledge, experience, energy, discernment, strength. God calls each of us to humbly offer the gift He has given us, in order that together we might reflect His wisdom and accomplish His purposes in the world. How has God gifted you? How can you share it with others so that God is glorified?
The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old.—Proverbs 20:29
Prayer: Lord, thank You for gifting each of us differently. Help us to value one another’s gifts, as well as our own. Most importantly, help us learn to humbly offer what you have given us in ways that will benefit others and accomplish Your purposes. In Jesus’ name, amen.
