Jesus chose twelve men from among all those who followed Him, twelve men to pour His life into. With them He shared His vision, His wisdom, as together they enjoyed one another’s companionship. Jesus did not choose to do life alone; He chose to engage with others at various levels, to fulfill personal needs and to influence others toward significance in life and ministry. Who are you doing life with?
Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.—Mark 3:13-15
Prayer: Jesus, I want to follow Your example of doing life together with others. Show me who You have placed in my life for us to share the journey together. How can we intentionally invest in one another and encourage one another in following You? I pray in Your name, amen.
