Why follow God’s way of leadership? Have you ever asked yourself this question? Why not simply follow the world’s model of ruling over people? While the world promises power and prestige, riches and recognition, God’s ways lead to life and experiencing the fulfillment of all His promises. As we follow Jesus’ leadership model, we are caught up in partnership with God’s life-changing and life-giving purposes. Why would we settle for less?
 Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you  may live and    may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. —Deuteronomy 4:1
Prayer: Lord, You know where I am tempted to substitute worldly goals and leadership principles for serving and partnering with You. Clear my vision, and refresh my perspective through Your Word and Your Spirit. I want to follow You and live and realize all that You have in mind. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
