Which comes first, people or task, relationship or results? Both are vital. God created us to work, and He gives us skills and strength to accomplish tasks. Responsibility, work, ability, all were part of His creation design. Consider, then, that even as we talk about results, we do so as human beings, made in His image and loved so much by the Father that He sent Jesus to restore our relationship with Him. Jesus teaches us how to live in relationship with God and others so that we can support one another in the work to which He calls us. Who are you supporting today?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.—John 3:16
Prayer: Jesus, You call us to love and serve one another as You Yourself loved and served us. Help us to support one another in doing what You’ve called us to do. We pray in Your name, amen.
