How do our words and actions align? Scripture warns us against empty words, unfulfilled promises, prideful boasting, and critical speech. Our words flow from our hearts, as do our actions. Both reveal what drives us, either pride and fear, or humility and God-confidence. Who do others know God to be based on your words and actions?
Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored  up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.—Matthew 12:33-35
Prayer: Jesus, transform us so that our words and actions reveal Your wholehearted love for the Father and Your unconditional love for people. Let them see You in us, we pray. Amen.
