Like so many men and women of faith, Joseph knew that his abilities came from God. He was quick to confess his own limitations. When others asked for help, he was quick to point them to God’s power. Who will seek your help today? How can you point them to God?
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”—Genesis 41:15-16
Prayer: Father, don’t let me succumb to the temptation to take credit for the gifts You have given me. When others need help, I want to point them to Your ability to make a difference in their lives and circumstances. I want to lift up Jesus today. In His name I pray, Amen.
