Where does a leader find hope when hopelessness overwhelms him or her? Where do you find hope? The Psalmist found hope in the Lord. When people oppose you, when circumstances seem insurmountable, when you feel alone and nothing is going right, turn your eyes to the Lord. Humble yourself before Him. Find in Him the hope you need to keep going.

But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.—Psalm 3:3-6

Prayer: Lord, I am never alone because You are always with me, and in this, I find hope. You are everything Scripture reveals You to be – my shield and my glory, the one who answers my cry, gives me rest, and sustains me. You are the antidote to fear and hopelessness. Let my leadership reflect my confidence and hope in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
