Who are you? Whose are you? Those are the questions we address as we begin the Godly servant leadership journey. You can discover your answers by listening to how you talk. How do you introduce yourself? How do you respond to others? Are you aware of speaking and relating to them as a child of God? Or do other loyalties hold your heart captive?
“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. ”Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.—2 Corinthians 6:18-7:1
Prayer: Father, Your great love and Jesus’ sacrifice opened the door for me to become Your child. What a privilege to call You Father! Search my heart for anything that keeps me from honoring You. May my life be increasingly shaped by my identity as your son or daughter. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
