Servant leadership isn’t limited to just one sphere of life. It is as applicable in family relationships as it is in business and government settings, as relevant in the classroom as it is in churches. Jesus consistently demonstrated servant leadership: as a young man explaining to His parents that He had to be about His Father’s concerns, and during His public ministry serving hungry people, correcting the Pharisees, and calling Zacchaeus to follow Him. What opportunities to serve God’s greater purpose will you take advantage of today?

Prayer: Jesus, You are the Lord of all life, and You saw all of life as an opportunity to serve others, meeting them at their point of need in order to restore them to relationship with the Father. Give me eyes to see the opportunities I have to serve others today, always keeping in mind God’s greater purpose in their lives. In Your name I pray, amen.
