Proverbs pictures wisdom as a woman calling out, inviting all those who hear her voice to freely come and listen to her. Who doesn’t need wisdom? Don’t we all face unexpected situations, challenging choices? Aren’t there times when you beg God to show you what to do and which way to go? What keeps us from answering God’s invitation? The door is open. Jesus, the embodiment of God’s wisdom, has come. The Spirit offers wisdom to all who will listen. Is your heart set on God’s wisdom or the world’s wisdom?

“To you, O people, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple, gain    prudence; you who are foolish, set your hearts on it.”—Proverbs 8:4-5

Prayer: God, thank You for opening up Your wisdom to me through Scripture, through Jesus, and through Your Spirit. I need Your wisdom to shape my leadership today. In Jesus’ name I come, amen.
