God’s law flows from God’s character. His concern for others is evident in the many guidelines for how we as His people are to interact with those around us. He wants our lives and our relationships to reflect His character. As those who claim to lead like Jesus, how are our relationships with others reflecting God’s character?

Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly. Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord.                   —Leviticus 19:15-16

Prayer: Lord, how is my life impacting those around me? Am I loving them like You call me to? Are they experiencing Your transforming power and compassionate justice through their relationship with me? Transform my relationships in practical ways—change my thinking, my speech, and my actions—so that I honor You and others. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
