Clingy people tend to have a bad reputation. Yet surely the determining factor is not the act of clinging, but the object to which one clings. Clinging to lies, to sin, to harmful behavior or destructive people is something to avoid. But clinging to truth, to Jesus-like behavior, to Jesus Himself is wisdom that reaps far-reaching benefits in all of life. To whom or what do you cling? How is your dependency on Jesus shaping the way you live, love, and lead in His name?
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.—John 15:4 NLT
