When Samson’s parents learned that they were going to have a son, they asked God to show them how to raise their son first. They didn’t try to do God’s work in their own strength or understanding. They knew they would need His wisdom and direction to know how to do what He had called them to do. What has God called you to do? How does He want you to do it?
Then Manoah prayed to the Lord: “Pardon your servant, Lord. I beg you to let the man of God you sent to us come again to teach us how to bring up the boy who is to be born.”—Judges 13:8
Prayer: Lord, thank You for calling me to be part of extending Your kingdom. Show me today how to do what You have called me to do. Step-by-step, day-by-day, I know I need to depend on You. I ask for wisdom, courage, strength, and discernment, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
