Each day offers new opportunities to live, love and lead like Jesus. New people may come into our lives; teachable moments may arise unexpectedly. Paul cautions believers to live wisely, seeking God’s perspective and training ourselves so that we understand how to live life with God’s purposes in mind. Are your eyes open to the opportunities God will give you to influence others today?
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.—Ephesians 5:15-17
Prayer: Lord, open my eyes to see the opportunities You will bring me today. Help me to live wisely; seeking to understand Your will and make the most of the opportunities You give. Prepare me through Scripture and prayer. Let me invest today for Your purposes. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
