In a world filled with conflict, Jesus calls us to be peacemakers. As men and women who have found peace with God, we know something about peace. We know that peace involves ceasing to work at cross-purposes with another person, choosing forgiveness, and rebuilding of trust. We know that words can be weapons, and that conscious choices must be made to speak words that bring reconciliation and restoration. We know that peace with God is essential to peace with others. Where are you called to be a person of peace today?
Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended. One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.—Proverbs 22:10- 11
Prayer: Jesus, let me be a person of peace today. Guard my heart, guard my words, let me speak with grace. Let me lead the way in forgiveness and taking steps to rebuild trust. I ask in Your name, amen.
