Where do you place your trust? In your own ability, or in God’s character and power? The first is born of pride and edges God out, the second of humility and exalts God only. Misplaced trust separates us from God and strains our relationships with others. God can be trusted to fulfill His promises and accomplish His purposes. Where is God calling you to trust Him today?
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?—Numbers 23:19
Prayer: God, I confess that there are times I trust myself more than I trust You. Forgive me. Remind me that only You see the whole picture. Only You are wise through-and-through. You are able to accomplish all that concerns me, and all that You call me to. You will fulfill Your promises. You are completely worthy of my trust. I look to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
