Where are you struggling today? The Israelites, still in awe of their deliverance through the Passover, found themselves once again being pursued by Pharaoh. In this test of their fledgling faith, they doubted God’s ability to continue to deliver them. They were about to learn that God’s shepherd care of His people isn’t just a one-time phenomenon, but includes constant vigilance and ongoing protection. How does God want to use their experience to encourage you today?
Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”—Exodus 14:13-14
Prayer: Lord, I hear You tell me not to be afraid, but to confidently look to You. Whatever comes against me today is no surprise to You. You intend to use it to grow my faith and bring honor to Your name. Please do this, in Jesus’ name, amen.
