Moses’ struggle to accept God’s call rings through the millennia. “Who am I?” is a question that countless people have asked. God didn’t bother answering Moses’ question because He knew it was the wrong question. Ultimately, what matters is not who we are, but who God is. In light of who God is, how do you respond to His call?

“So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
And God said, “I will be with you.”—Exodus 3:10-12

Prayer: God, when I question who I am to be answering Your call, remind me to get my eyes off of myself and onto who You are. Thank You for calling us to be part of what You are doing. Thank You for promising to be with us. Use me, I pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
