What is your ultimate goal in life: self-glorification or God-glorification? Self-glorification is closely linked to instant gratification. Pride, power and fear lead to ways of leading that exalt self, trample others, and force results without God’s involvement. Humility and confidence exalt God, honor others, invite God’s perspective, and follow His leading. Who will get glory through your life and leadership? Make this your prayer today:

Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.—Psalm 115:1

Prayer: Lord, Your love and faithfulness is beyond anything I could ever deserve or imagine. May my life reflect my gratitude and the power of Your transforming love. May You receive glory through my attitude, thoughts, choices and behavior today. I choose to exalt You rather than myself today. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
