Use your journal to jot down answers and thought you have around the habits of solitude and prayer:
Habits are those daily practices that help us stay connected with God.
Jesus, the Son of God, even HE had to have great Habits to stay connected with His Father
So, if He needed it, it stands to reason we do too!
There are 5 Key Habits. We will cover the first 2 in this segment and the other 3 in another segment.
1. Solitude—being silent and completely alone with God to listen to His “still small voice.”
“At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep Him from leaving them.” Luke 4:24
Away from everyone and everything
2. Prayer—having a conversation with God “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
Talking with Him, but also listening to Him
Really believing He cares about you and wants to know what’s on your heart
Believing that He will change you
A way to connect our plans and efforts with His plans
