What keeps you from asking for God’s help? Does pride get in the way so that you find yourself trying to earn God’s approval? Do you doubt that He will answer your request for help, or fear that He will chastise you for asking? God calls us to intimately and completely depend on Him, allowing Him to transform us moment-by-moment into Christ-like servant leaders. What are you depending on God for today?

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.—Hebrews 4:16

Prayer: God, I bow before Your throne, humbly acknowledging my need of You. I come confidently because of Jesus, and I trust that You will answer my calls for help in ways that exalt You. Where I am tempted to doubt You and Your sufficiency, replace doubt with confidence in You alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.
