Jesus gave us a living example of love throughout His life, patiently teaching His slow-to-learn disciples, mercifully serving the hungry, healing the sick, and bestowing honor on the outcast. His death on the cross was the ultimate act of love, giving Himself for those who didn’t understand how He was loving and saving them. Love for God naturally overflows into love for others, love that takes shape in our words and actions, our attitudes and relationships. Who are you loving like Jesus’ loves them?
This is my command: Love each other.—John 15:17
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for living a life of love. The examples of how You treated others with unconditional love in the Bible convince me that You can love me, and they help me understand how you expect me to love others. May others know I am Your disciple by my love. In Your name I pray, Amen.
