How would your life be different today if you were making conscious choices to live by your values? We can say that something is important to us, but our words and actions reveal what is in our heart and head. Taking time to reflect on and reaffirm our values, including our commitment to live, love, and lead like Jesus, solidifies and intensifies our motivation to do just that. How will you live differently today as an apprentice to Jesus, your servant leader?
Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.—John 12:26
Prayer: Jesus, You have shown me a new way to lead and a new way to live. I have chosen to follow You, to value what You value, to love like You love, to honor the Father in my words and actions. I want to follow in Your footsteps as I move into this day. In Your name I pray, amen.
