It started simply enough. Philip heard the Lord tell him to go the road that led from Jerusalem to Gaza, so Philip went. Philip’s obedience ended in an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus and baptizing a new brother in Christ. God is always orchestrating events so that we will have opportunities to witness about Jesus. Our obedience allows us to be used by Him. Where is He sending you today?
The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.—Acts 8:34-35
Prayer: Lord, I trust that You are at work to draw people to Jesus. Give me sensitivity to where they are spiritually and open my eyes to the opportunities You will give me today to point others to Him. I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
