Life’s demands can sometimes keep us moving at a pace not of our own choosing, at times faster, or slower, than we prefer to go. As the Hebrews followed the cloud by day, they lived life at God’s pace. Like the ancient Hebrews, we can be assured that God is leading the way, at His pace, and knows where He is taking us.

In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out; but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it     lifted.—Exodus 40:36-37

Prayer: Lord, let me take this moment to give my agenda to You, and to listen for Your direction. Where do I need to rest in Your timing and pace? Where do You need me to stop? Where, and how fast, am I to go? Keep me in step with You as I move into this day. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
