We speak of leading like Jesus in terms of three distinctives: the transformational cycle; the domains of the heart, head, hands, and habits; and Jesus Himself. This third distinctive—the person of Jesus—is the most significant, for when all is said and done, leading like Jesus is only possible through knowing Jesus. Through an intimate and dynamic relationship with us, He transforms us into men and women who embrace His values, His vision, and His approach to leadership. How well do you know Jesus?
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.—2 Corinthians 3:18
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for offering me the opportunity to know You. Let me rely fully on You as my leadership role model, teacher, coach, and mentor. Transform me into a person who increasingly reflects You as a leader. I pray in Your name, amen.
