A Dual Focus

A Dual Focus

Are you task-oriented or relationship-oriented? Relationships offer opportunities for reflecting the kindness, compassion and wisdom of Jesus. Tasks to be done provide opportunities to serve others at their point of need and to reflect character qualities of integrity and perseverance. Jesus modeled a life that blended a dual focus on accomplishing tasks with highly valuing relationships with God and people. How can you emulate Him today?

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.—Ephesians 2:10

Prayer: God, You made me according to Your design. You planned how You would use me to serve others and what You want me to accomplish in life. Help me to not lose sight of You in the midst of my daily tasks. Show me how You want me to focus my life today, so that I accomplish Your purpose. I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
