Spiritual Power and Authority

Spiritual Power and Authority

Trying to lead in your own power and authority will never achieve God's results. God's purposes are birthed through prayer and listening to His voice, and lived out in humble dependence and obedience. His work is accomplished through Spirit-led servant leaders who live in daily awareness of Jesus' presence and commands. Whose power and authority guides your life today?

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.—Ephesians 6:10-12

Prayer: Lord, forgive me for edging You out of my life, for the times when I try to do things in my own interests and power. I lay these down today. Clothe me instead in Your name and power so that I can be used by You. I want my life to exalt You only. Accomplish Your purposes through me, I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
