Tremble

Tremble

What circumstances unsettle you? Fear, trembling at what is currently happening or might happen in the future, interferes with our ability to sense the very real presence of the Lord. We underestimate His power to act on behalf of His children. Fear should drive us to the Lord, to remembering His greatness and His provision in the past. Then we tremble at the right thing, the presence and power of our God.

Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.—Psalm 114:7-8

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the way You showed Yourself strong on behalf of the Israelites, generation after generation. When I am tempted to fear, remind me of who You are, and cause me to tremble at Your greatness. I honor You today, and ask that You would accomplish Your purposes through my life. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
