Global Partnerships: Grace International School

At Grace International School in Chiang Mai Thailand, 120 school staff members recently completed a Lead Like Jesus Encounter training.

This marks the largest single international Encounter training ever held.

“The fact that it was such an international group with staff from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Korea, and Thailand contributed to the dynamics and discussions,” explained school superintendent Jurrian Van Der Straeten.  “It also showed that the Lead Like Jesus principles are universal. It calibrated us in our relationships with each other and with God.”

Grace International School has been in existence for more than 20 years and provides a Christian education for children of international workers located in Southeast Asia.  Several of the staff received Encounter Facilitator training last summer and were able to help to lead the Encounter.

What is Encounter? A highly interactive, participant-driven, two-day leadership development experience that exposes common leadership misconceptions and offers a practical model based on the greatest leader role model of all time: Jesus.
